About

Impact America Fund (IAF) is a Black women-owned venture capital firm dedicated to investing in a future where people of color experience true agency and participation in the American economy. Founded by Kesha Cash, a Columbia MBA and applied mathematics graduate from UC Berkeley, IAF focuses on early-stage investments in tech-driven businesses that create new frameworks of ownership and opportunity within marginalized communities. The firm aims to bridge the financial and cultural divides that have historically excluded low- and moderate-income people of color from the modern economy.

IAF's investment approach emphasizes the inherent impact of business models, seeking companies whose success is directly linked to their potential for social impact at scale. The team comprises individuals with deep personal ties to the communities they invest in, bringing diverse backgrounds from academia, Wall Street, big corporations, and Silicon Valley startups. Notable investments include Mayvenn, a marketplace that increases the income of independent hair stylists; Camino Financial, which provides fast, affordable loans to Latinx-owned small businesses; and CareAcademy, offering training and support tools for home-care agencies serving low-income women of color.

IAF's mission is to advance economic justice by supporting entrepreneurs from overlooked communities who possess a profound understanding of the problems they are solving and a personal sense of impact.
