About

Seedrs is a leading online equity crowdfunding platform based in London, United Kingdom. Founded in 2012 by Jeff Lynn and Carlos Silva, it enables investors to buy and sell shares in private companies, providing entrepreneurs with access to capital while fostering community engagement. Seedrs was the first regulated securities crowdfunding platform globally and introduced a secondary marketplace for unlisted companies in 2017.

Over the years, it has funded more than 1,400 deals, with nearly £1.5 billion invested on the platform to date. In December 2021, Seedrs was acquired by US-based investment platform Republic for approximately $100 million, aiming to create a global private investment marketplace across North America and Europe. Despite the acquisition, Seedrs continues to operate under its existing name and brand as part of Republic's global retail division.
