Established in 2019 by General Partners Stephanie Campbell, Diana Murakhovskaya, and Founding Partner Leslie Goldman Tepper, the firm aims to address the systemic underfunding of women-led ventures by providing capital and support to early-stage companies led by women and people of color. In September 2024, Artemis closed its second fund at $36 million, more than doubling the size of its first fund.

The firm's portfolio includes over 20 companies, with more than 60% led by Black, Latinx, or immigrant founders.
